Yum Reset is designed for the times when a normal shampoo is not enough. Over time, minerals from tap water, road film and contamination can clog protective layers, leaving coatings looking flat, less hydrophobic and harder to clean.
As an acidic shampoo, Reset targets mineral deposits and water spotting that can mask the performance of ceramic coatings, waxes and sealants. It can also help remove older, tired protection when you want to restart the surface before applying something fresh.
This makes it a valuable maintenance product for coated cars as well as a preparation product before polishing or re-protection. It should not replace Yum Wash for every maintenance wash, but it is ideal when the surface needs a deeper reset.
Follow with Yum Detailer if you simply want a clean, slick finish, or with Yum Ceramic if you want to refresh spray sealant protection after the wash.
Use Reset when hydrophobic behaviour drops but the coating should still be present. Often the coating is not dead, it is just masked by minerals and traffic film. Reset can help reveal the protection again before deciding whether to reapply.
Should I use Yum Reset every wash?
No. Use it when the surface needs mineral removal, coating unclogging or a stronger reset. Use Yum Wash for regular maintenance.
Can it strip waxes and sealants?
It can act as a mild strip wash, especially on older or weakened wax and sealant layers.
