PPF Serum is designed specifically for the needs of paint protection film. PPF behaves differently to painted clear coat, so using a dedicated product is important for maintaining clarity, reducing staining and improving how easily the film cleans during regular maintenance washes.
Modern PPF is often installed on high-value vehicles to protect against stone chips, road rash and daily wear. PPF Serum adds a dedicated maintenance and protection layer over the film, helping water, dirt and contamination release more easily without changing the character of the finish.
This is especially useful on satin or matte PPF, where oily or glossy products can alter the look if they are not designed for film. PPF Serum should be applied to clean, dry, properly prepared film and maintained with safe wash methods afterwards.
For best results, pair PPF Serum with Yum Wash for regular maintenance, Yum Detailer as a drying aid and Yum Glass for windows. If you are preparing film before application, ensure any previous residues are carefully removed before installation.
On satin or matte PPF, always test a small hidden area first. Apply thinly and level thoroughly. Over-application can create uneven visual patches on low-gloss film finishes.
Can PPF Serum be used on matte PPF?
Yes, it is intended for PPF, but always test first on satin or matte film to confirm the desired finish.
Is this the same as a paint coating?
No. PPF Serum is designed for film, while Paint Serum II, IV and VI are designed for painted surfaces.
